MEET THE THERAPIST
About Walter
I am a compassionate counselor with a masters in child and adolescent psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a masters in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. I am an adjunct professor teaching a variety of psychology courses at several universities and a community college.
I am enthusiastic about my role as a father and grandfather, an educator, and counselor. These roles allow an opportunity to develop interpersonal relationships in a meaningful way for all parties. As an educator, it allows collaboration with students in supporting their desired dreams and goals. As a counselor, it permits me the opportunity to help guide and direct clients to become self-aware, self-directive, and embrace their uniqueness.
This enthusiasm is generated from my own experience as a parent, grandparent, and education, but more importantly, through self exploration, reflection, and a strong support system. I believe individuals should write their own definition of themselves rather than allowing others to define who they are.
